Profile Summary:
- The Global Knowledge Manager, IBM & HP Alliances will be expected to take responsibility for the following key tasks:
- Actively pursue and encourage new knowledge submissions from Knowledge Representatives, Alliance Managers, Solution Managers and other communities of practice within countries
- Help increase awareness of KM by creating and maintaining of a global repository and other related knowledge tools to assist the alliances communities with easy and quick access to reusable knowledge objects.
- Ensure the alliances repositories reflect latest content in the areas of alliance collateral, solution material, sales and marketing information, news, delivery documents, etc.
- Create greater value for the business through the creation, management and administration of new and relevant content repositories in alignment with business priorities and goals.
- Establish and maintain solutions and technologies credentials / qualifications / case studies to assist sales teams
- Creation and maintenance of alliances and sales & marketing documents and presentations
- Help increase awareness of KM by creating and maintaining Knowledge Training materials that can be used by consultants within the region
- Maintaining Lotus Notes databases of content – including taxonomy maintenance, filtering content, tagging keywords, and reviewing and rating content (with inputs from SMEs where required)
- Support sales / delivery knowledge requests from senior management and pursuit teams
- Publish alliance newsletters (gather content, create and modify newsletters and publish)
- Ensure active participation on weekly and monthly community conference calls
- Identify new sources and manage existing sources (Gartner, IDC etc) for external research – including responding to queries for reports, as well as maintaining these on knowledge databases.
- Helping reference submitted deliverables to best-in-class methods
- Manage Group reporting requirements for Global Market & Business Sources reporting
- Provide knowledge statistics – contribution, usage etc. – reporting to management
These tasks require a resource with content familiarity in at least one of the supported areas:
- Exposure to Alliances Management activities
- Familiarity in IBM and/or HP products and services
- Familiarity and experience in IT / Consulting Services
Competencies
- The Knowledge Analyst must be very strong in our tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and Lotus Notes (Training in Lotus Notes will be provided if required)
- Fluent English Communication Skills (Oral, Written & Presentation)

Experience Profile
- 2+ years alliances management / sales / pre-sales experience (preferably on/with IBM and/or HP related products and services)
- 1+ years in research and/or knowledge management field preferred
