Based on your years of experience and capabilities the compensation will match industry benchmarks, Your annual CTC ranging anything between 1.9 lakhs to 4 lakhs.

Job Summary:

This position within Software Solutions Group (SSG) Services M&D (Monitoring and Diagnostics applications) includes, but is not limited to, software maintenance, RTS (ready to serve) solutions, and support for the NPI team.

Essential Functions:
  • Design, develop, implement and debug application-based test platforms for functional and system level verification of Monitoring and Diagnostics Software systems.
  • Use product development software lifecycle design techniques to develop and execute manual and automated tests for verification of new and existing products.
  • Design and construct test systems involving hardware and software to verify product functionality.
  • Interpret diagrams, specifications and applications for existing test platforms. Make modifications and additions for new functionality.
  • Use PC-based tools to create test plans, prepare for design/code reviews, perform configuration management activities, and track resolution of product issues according to established documented procedures.
  • Work closely with the Quality and Design team leaders, Project Leaders, and Product Development teams from design through post-release product support to ensure design is testable and product requirements are met.
  • Execute test sweeps, report issues and work with Product Development Teams to verify resolution of problems found.
  • Be properly trained in the Six Sigma initiative and apply Six Sigma methodologies to daily activities.
  • Supply information into user documentation process.
  • Follow documented software development process.
  • Engage in improvements to the process to aid productivity and to increase quality.
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or MCA or equivalent.
  • Experience/knowledge in PCs, Windows, and Linux/Unix operating systems, and C/C++ programming languages.
  • Experience/knowledge in testing software and application systems, test methodology and Software Engineering processes.
  • Must have the ability to read technical documentation, efficiently use scopes and meters, mechanically assemble test platforms, and type sufficiently to operate a PC.
  • Must manipulate tools as needed to wire/assemble tests and to perform programming and debug of software modules.
  • Six Sigma training complete or plan to complete during first twelve months (GE Employees only).
