Position: Core java & Swing – Senior Software Engineers / Tech Leads
Job Location: Pune
Experience: 4 - 7 years
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Design, develop and maintain Java-based graphical components belonging to the SILK component framework of SAS Graph product
· Mentor other junior members in the area of Java and Graph development
· Interact with users (internal/external) of the graphical components and provides solutions
· Verifies, tracks and fixes “bugs” isolated by other user groups
· Opportunities:
o Technical leadership role in the area of Java development practices and processes for the SAS Graph team
o Complete ownership of key graphical components that form part of the SAS 9 platform
o Contributing to the design and development of the common graph framework
Requirements:
· Extensive hands on knowledge of Core Java, Swing, Java 2D, and fundamentals of object-oriented principles
· Good knowledge of software development processes
· Significant experience in JUnit-based development processes or test-driven development methodologies
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent multi-tasking skills
· Should be self-driven and be able to deliver with minimal or no supervision
· Design, Develop, Test and maintain components that form part of the SILK components of SAS Graph products.
· Technology involved in this work are Core Java, Graphics, SWING
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 4 years of experience
· Academic course work in the area of graphics/data visualization (desirable)
· Professional work experience in the development of data visualization components like charts, graphs etc (desirable)
