Immediate Opening for JAVA Developers at BNP PARIBAS India Solutions, Mumbai

The role is to:

• Contribute at all levels to the development, maintenance, and integration of the bank's software assets
• Engage in continuous process improvement activities
• Grow the team in Mumbai through recruitment and mentoring
• Establish and grow relationships globally with colleagues and users within the organisation.

Technologies used: (please note that we do not require specific prior experience with any of these)

• Spring-framework
• Webwork
• Velocity
• Hibernate
• JUnit
• Ant, Maven, XML, XSL, J2EE, Websphere, Oracle, Eclipse, Intellij

We expect candidates to:

• Have excellent communication skills
• Have excellent written and spoken English (colleagues and clients may not have English as a first language)
• Be able to grasp the big picture
• Be ready to take the initiative, to seek out and accept new responsibilities
• Be very serious about quality
• Care about test automation
• Show interest in Agile development methods and Design Patterns
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for and understanding of a variety of open-source application frameworks and Java APIs
• Have a solid working knowledge of core Java language and API, and either Swing or web development frameworks
• Have a minimum of 1 year's professional experience using Java technologies

Added advantages would include:

• Experience in the domain of finance
• Experience with Agile/XP practices, especially TDD, refactoring, and acceptance test automation.
• Specific experience with Spring, Hibernate, Velocity, Webwork, or Swing
  development, communication, leadership to name but three.
