Position: Pre-Sales – Solution Architect

Location: Mumbai

Summary of Key responsibilities:
  1. To engage the customer (along with the Sales teams) to understand / anticipate their critical business issues/pain areas and create a business solution / value proposition around the Our Client CRM/CIM product offerings.
  2. To make sales presentations on business solutions built around Our Client CRM/CIM product to the client organization. Most of the time the presentations are made to very senior office bearers in the client organization (CXOs, Heads of Businesses etc.). The Pre Sales consultant’s primary responsibility is to articulate business value proposition of using the Our Client solution to them.
  3. To create a business solution around the Our Client CRM/CIM product naturally requires skill to configure / customize the product. The Presales – Solution Architect is responsible for conceptualizing / visualizing business processes for the client and then creating the same in the Our Client product. The person needs to be hands-on with the product.
  4. To create business proposals, responses to RFPs and solution papers in course of an enterprise sales lifecycle. The person will also acts as a single-point of contact for all customer queries on product features technical queries etc. in course of the sales lifecycle.
  5. To engage with customers from diverse industry verticals and hence needs to be conversant on the customer facing business processes in various industry verticals (like Banking and Finance, Insurance, BPOs, Contact Centres etc.) While engaging with a new industry vertical, the person needs to very quickly gain idea about general business processes in the said vertical through research.
  6. To work closely with the Professional Services team (responsible for implementation) providing input on the initial implementation scope and approach to arrive at the project timelines and estimates.
  7. To have a good understanding of technology, with specific emphasis on integration with other applications, solution deployment etc. Understanding of the underlying technology of the product as well as technology issues at the clients end is necessary to provide a comprehensive software solution to the customer.

Qualification and Experience:
  • Must have 5 – 7 years of overall IT experience, out of which at least 2 years should be in a Pre-Sales role for a Products or Enterprise IT Solutions company.
  • BE / B Tech / MCA / MBA degree from a university / college of repute.
  • Client facing experience and excellent presentation skills to very senior audience is a must.
  • Presales consultants performing sales support roles only (RFP filling, proposal preparation, demo building, tele-calling etc.) and without client facing experience need not apply.

Essential Competencies / Skills:
  • Understanding of business processes in diverse industry segment is a must.
  • The candidate should have the ability and prior experience in articulating business benefits of software solutions to key decision makers in the client organization.
  • Must have experience in creating and explaining complex business solutions.
  • Experience in creating business proposals, filling up of complex RFPs, creation of solution papers etc.
  • Must be highly skilled in creating documents to articulate business issues and technology solutions for the same.
  • Must have the ability to articulate technology concepts to both high level business audiences and highly technical individuals.
  • Needs to have good understanding of technology.
  • Needs to understand the various application software that are used by businesses, the integration between them, the technology behind each of them.
  • Proposal, RFP preparation and communication of client’s requirements to the implementation team to arrive at project estimates requires very good grasp of technology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a demanding global team environment, understand and be responsive to customer needs, work under tight deadlines, quickly learn new technologies, work independently and a willingness to take ownership of problems.
  • Experience working with the sales force in assisting in “closing” sales opportunities is required

The following experience will be a plus

  • Previous experience in CRM packages is desirable. Pre–Sales or implementation experience in CRM is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experiences with enterprise software solutions
  • International Exposure is desirable
