Position: Business Analyst - Financial Services

Role description:
The role promotes the understanding of the client’s business and the role contributes to the development of our analysis division through the use of industry’s best practice and experience, ensuring an appropriate level of governance in line with the business's environment and needs. The person needs to be the “go-between” between the client and the technology/delivery team. Significant documentation experience is a must.
Key aspects of the role:
- Understand business drivers and the needs of relevant business managers and system users
- Elicit and document requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
- Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints and other non-functional requirements.
- Participate in requirements prioritisation.
- Liaise with stakeholders/business owners with regard to changes affecting their business units, ensuring cross functional awareness and preparedness for change. This specifically involves writing high level processes and coordinating the development of lower level processes.
- Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status and change requests throughout the project.
- Establish and implement effective requirement practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirement process. Assist with the development of the organisation's requirements analysis and management processes and techniques.
Experience:
- Working as a Business Analyst preferably with Financial Services background
- An understanding of contemporary requirements analysis and management processes
- Business Acumen within a service and technology environment
- Experienced with working in cross functional teams
Desired skills:
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in the area of business management or information technology
- Self motivated, outgoing, team player, driven
